One of my all time favorite breakfast is freshly brewed mocha with espresso cake. It became an indulgence for the tight budgets these days… So I decided to make it myself this morning and have to admit it wasn’t bad at all…actually it was awesome :p
The smell of freshly brewed coffee is so stimulating …. It just makes my day.
Espresso cake
Ingredients:
- Betty crocker's French vanilla cake mix
- Eggs
- Butter
- Flodgers instant coffee
- Sour cream
- Half n half
Process:
Mix cake mix, eggs, half N half and butter very slowly. Mix the coffee and the sour cream in another bowl. Mix it with the batter. Put it to oven for 350 F for 30 minutes.
I used 9 inch loaf pan.
Mocha
Ingredients:
- Flodgers instant coffee
- Coca powder/ Swiss Mocha powder
- Half n half
- Evaporated milk
- Water
Process:
Boil a cup of water. Pour Mocha powder in the water and stir. Pour evaporated milk and instant coffee and boil for another 5 minutes. Mix it with half n half and blend it for 30 – 45 seconds for the foam. You can add sugar, if you like it sweet. Microwave a minute for Hot Mocha.
